چکیده
In statistical process control/monitoring (SPC/M), memory-based control charts aim to detect small/medium persistent parameter shifts. When a phase I calibration is not feasible, self-starting methods have been proposed, with the predictive ratio cusum (PRC) being one of them. To apply such in practice, needs derive decision limit threshold that will guarantee preset false alarm tolerance, very difficult task when parameters are unknown and their estimate sequentially updated. Utilizing Bayesian framework PRC, we provide theoretic allow decision-making threshold, based on which along PRC closed-form monitoring scheme permit its straightforward application real-life practice. An enhancement simulation study evaluates robustness against competitors for various model type misspecifications. Finally, three real data sets (normal, Poisson, binomial) illustrate implementation Technical details, algorithms, R-codes reproducing illustrations provided as supplementary material.

15 صفحه اولExponential CUSUM Charts with Estimated Control Limits
Exponential CUSUM charts are used in monitoring the occurrence rate of rare events because the interarrival times of events for homogeneous Poisson processes are independent and identically distributed exponential random variables. In these applications, it is assumed that the exponential parameter, i.e. the mean, is known or has been accurately estimated. However, in practice, the in-control m...
متن کاملImproving the performance of CUSUM charts
The control chart is an important statistical technique that is used to monitor the quality of a process. Shewhart control charts are used to detect larger disturbances in the process parameters, whereas CUSUM and EWMA charts are meant for smaller and moderate changes. Runs rules schemes are generally used to enhance the performance of Shewhart control charts. In this study, we propose two runs...
متن کاملCUSUM charts for detecting special causes in integrated process control
This paper investigates control charts for detecting special causes in an ARIMA(0,1,1) process that is being adjusted automatically after each observation using a minimum mean-squared error adjustment policy. It is assumed that the adjustment mechanism is designed to compensate for the inherent variation due to the ARIMA(0,1,1) process, but it is desirable to detect and eliminate special causes...
متن کاملDistribution-Free Exceedance CUSUM Control Charts for Location
Distribution-free (nonparametric) control charts can be useful to the quality practitioner when the underlying distribution is not known. A Phase II nonparametric CUSUM chart based on the exceedance statistics, called the exceedance CUSUM chart, is proposed here for detecting a shift in the unknown location parameter of a continuous distribution. The exceedance statistics can be more efficient ...
